June 2021 has certainly been one of the most exciting months for Monika The Label this year! Last Sunday we wrapped up our first ever pop up on the iconic Oxford Street, in the heart of the buzzing West End of Central London. In collaboration with Lone Design Club, MTL had itβs first sweet taste of IRL shopping and it certainly didnβt disappoint!
Everything Lone Design Club (LDC) do is about transparency and storytelling - a brand new immersive retail experience. Meet the designers in-store and hear their incredible stories. Find out the details behind every garment, and shop the club with sustainability and traceability in mind.From socially distanced launch events, to designer-led workshops, panel discussions on sustainability and the future of fashion, LDC are gearing up for an incredible return to their concept stores this summer, with an incredible start on Oxford Street.
LDC loves bringing conscious shoppers and independent designers together. Having been one of those conscious LDC shoppers myself before MTL was even a thing, I was so stoked to come full circle and showcase as a designer this time round. A true βpinch me WTFβ moment! Being a solo designer predominantly working from home, it can be quite lonesome. But these last two weeks surround by an amazing co hurt of designers and brand owners, proved that the independent fashion industry is a truly amazing collective.

It was amazing seeing all your beautifull faces IRL, exchanging stories while you tried our dresses and even bought a few pieces! That's the beauty of a physical store - those face to face interactions! Something I miss out on with online selling - even more so than normal considering I launched in the middle of a global pandemic last year and was stuck in doors for most of it! It all feels very, very real now. You guys kept me smilinβ all week long and Iβm left feeling truly elated, grateful and excited for whatβs to come next - be sure to keep an eye out for future MTL pop ups, as this certainly won't be our last!
